After a long journey, Team Zambia finally arrived at Eureka Camp in Lusaka last night. We were greeted by some local wildlife! Once the tents were set up, students have been relaxing in the sun, playing in the pool and visiting the supermarket to buy food for their lunches while working on the school project. It?ll be an early 6am start tomorrow for the 6 hour drive to Kariba South Primary School.
This year we took advantage of further coaching from Team Northumbria. This was an excellent opportunity for the girls to further develop their skills and a great way to finish our Netball season. Due to the brilliant feedback from our first session, we ran 2 separate sessions. On Friday 4th May, 30 year 7 girls took part and Friday 18th May, 30 year 8 girls took part. Tasmin Maola delivered two fantastic coaching sessions for the girls.
These sessions were tailored to the individual needs of the girls. There was a great range of drills to work on many different skills. We focused on footwork, moving up the court, attacking play, shooting and lots of match play! All the girls thoroughly enjoyed this experience and all worked extremely hard. Excellent effort and determination displayed from all involved. A brilliant experience for all girls!
